30 years in PC and console game dev, 18 as a Project/Game Director. I’ve worked on many titles, my faves were XCom, Silent Hill, Sudeki, Robocraft and CardLife.
A quick update from me. I am no longer working at Freejam (it is complicated). I still love all the devs and wish them all the very best with RC. I am now working on a AAA console title as a Project Director with the company I previously made 2 Silent Hill games with.

I have managed teams that use Unreal but have never developed my own prototype in it, so it would be fun to learn. I am a huge fan of open source and so Godot is also appealing.
I have made prototypes for all of @Freejamgames games in @unitygames all of which evolved and grew thanks to years of hard work from the devs at Freejam. Games like @Robocraftgame and @CardLifeGame and @Robocraft2Game. I will not be making any more prototypes in Unity.
So this means no demos, no charity keys, no prologues, no gamepass, no ps+, no indie f2p. What a sh*t show #Unity#Unity3D How can a game company be so out of touch with the current market situation!?

When I was young I spent 4 hours typing out the code for a game from a magazine into my grandads Sinclair ZX81. It was a terrible game but I was proud that it worked. Now, using ChatGPT4 I can type a short sentence I’m a few secs and get something 100 times better. Mind blowing.
@PathForger Some of these ideas are interesting. But we need to avoid any incentive to shoot Tower instead of enemy when two players are within range of each other. Gameplay should focus around players needing to combat each other.
New reassembly worked out quite well. The additional polish items we’re adding to it will improve it further I think. New tower defence gameplay is promising but needs quite a bit of improvement to work properly. TTK overall is too long for this kind of defensive gameplay I think
Really hoping to get the new reworked Re-assemble feature live today in @Robocraft2Game as well as the new defence tower gameplay in Helas Basin and Iana Chaos ahead of EU multiplayer test this evening.
