@MikeTappTweets That’s true. But there have been too many own goals over the last two years and poor communication of what’s been achieved and the challenges Labour inherited. If this doesn’t change then we’re heading into an abyss of right wing politics of division and inequality
@DanNeidle I like the idea of targeting tax cuts based on two things: the impact on the economy (no good if it all goes into savings); and benefiting the least well off (who may be more inclined to spend it hence impacting my first criteria).
@MatthewStadlen@ZiaYusufUK Many salaried employees working way more than a standard working week of say 37.5 hours (say 50 hours) would be better agreeing with their employees a lower salary (saving employers national insurance also) but converting to a standard working week with 12.5 hours overtime.
@toryboypierce@RachelReevesMP Sorry Tory boy. 2008 was hardly driven by actions of the Labour government. Actually we oversaw improvements in living conditions for all working people after 1997. Can’t really say the same about the last 14 years can we.
