Covid reinfections are causing Long Covid "affecting more than 400 million people and contributing to estimated annual economic costs exceeding $1 trillion." That's one in 20 people on the planet.
Misinformation and conspiracy theories about Covid vaccines are growing. They put lives at risk.
The Covid Inquiry has found that vaccines were safe, saved millions of lives worldwide, and helped end the pandemic.
These are the facts:
The 1918 flu has just two memorials in the United States. We're working to make sure history doesn't repeat itself.

Today, on this #COVIDMemorialDay, we remember the millions of lives lost to #COVID-19 and honor the lives forever changed.
Behind every number is a name. A face. A family. A space at the table that will never be filled the same way again. We honor those grieving. We honor those angry and determined to drive change.
Advocacy is how we carry memory forward. With the #COVIDbereaved, the #COVIDcautious, and the #LongCOVID community standing together, we can truly drive change.
Thank you to @MarkedByCovid for continuing to provide space for the COVID bereaved, for being a Long COVID ally, and for continuing to push for accountability.

Six years ago this week, we looked out for each other.
We made hard, loving choices. We gave things up. We held our breath together.
This isn't over. And every story deserves to be remembered.
What do you remember from those early days?

Long COVID: The Hematologic System
Long COVID can alter coagulation and vascular function, increasing hematologic risk. Documented concerns include blood clots, DVT, pulmonary embolism, stroke risk, platelet activation changes, and impaired clot breakdown. These vascular changes may contribute to fatigue, headaches, and organ-specific symptoms by reducing tissue oxygenation and perfusion. Clotting shifts raise special concern in pregnancy and other high-risk contexts where coagulation balance is already physiologically sensitive. Careful monitoring, early recognition of thrombotic symptoms, and prevention strategies remain essential to reduce risk and protect long-term health.

@MadraRua52@C19LH_Advocacy We honor our losses and fight for change. Remembrance & progress are critically dependent on one another, not mutually exclusive.
