@TashieY39 Significant gaps + less time to fill the gaps + external distractions isn’t going to be a formula for success, as I see it. Have they communicated why handing their phone in is such a barrier? Is it comfort, trust, past experience?

@TashieY39 It will always be a debated topic as technology continues to evolve. Every school will have their own approach & believe it to be right for their students. If my students were able to focus, engage & achieve without disruption, then they would have a case, but the majority cannot

@MrWilliamson11 Yes. We bought room decorations from Amazon, table flowers from a local florist and hired a red carpet.
They knew it was at school, we knew it was at school, but they appreciated the effort we went to.
They did us proud, no issues in school or in the community afterwards. 1/2
