@RogersHistory The idea that lower suspensions and exclusions means behaviour is better is hugely flawed. What’s under the carpet? What’s ignored? What’s not talked about or dealt with? How supported are staff and pupils? How is internal isolation used to disguise things?
🎁 FREE GIFT: FULL ROSENSHINE CPD PACK!
To celebrate 50 consecutive weeks of ⚗️DistillED, I’ve put together something quite cool…
Over the past year, Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction has been one of the most requested topics from teachers and school leaders. So I’ve put together a complete, ready-to-run CPD pack to help schools explore and implement all 10 principles.
The download includes:
→ 10 CPD PowerPoints (ready for 30–45 min sessions)
→ 10 strategy checklists (practical classroom actions)
→ 10 planning templates (put principles into action )
→ Covers all 10 of Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction
Everything you need to run ten focused CPD sessions — one for each principle.
👉 REPOST and comment ROSENSHINE and I’ll DM you the link. Cheers!

@Miss_GJohnston I’m sure our English team would love access to these. I have followed you in the hope you would be kind enough to share the links. Thank you for your generosity.
I’m looking for some fab school leaders to review my book ahead of its release in March. It’s a digestible read on how to create the conditions within our schools to have the greatest impact on the pupils we serve. RT or like this post for a chance to get a cheeky preview!👇🏽
@StokesNeuro Hello Mark. Until 20 minutes ago I didn’t know you existed. I now know the world is about to lose another wonderful human. Having read the responses to your tweet, thousands of people will be held closer today. Long may your children know the impact that their father had.
@TashieY39 Significant gaps + less time to fill the gaps + external distractions isn’t going to be a formula for success, as I see it. Have they communicated why handing their phone in is such a barrier? Is it comfort, trust, past experience?
@TashieY39 It will always be a debated topic as technology continues to evolve. Every school will have their own approach & believe it to be right for their students. If my students were able to focus, engage & achieve without disruption, then they would have a case, but the majority cannot

They knew it was at school, we knew it was at school, but they appreciated the effort we went to.
They did us proud, no issues in school or in the community afterwards. 1/2
