Another poll in #MASEN: A Public Policy Polling survey commissioned by The Majority Institute found Sen. Ed Markey ahead of Rep. Seth Moulton, 53%-22%, with 25% undecided
It's the third poll released this week to show Markey ahead by double digits
Aug. 17-18; 645 LVs; +/-3.9%
The specifics are laid out in a discreetly placed section of Moulton’s campaign website, the latest example of “red-boxing” — a tactic campaigns use to sidestep rules barring coordination with super PACs — in Massachusetts elections this cycle: https://t.co/Qa7Oj9FQzv #mapoli
Seth Moulton can drop the anti-establishment shtick now that the establishment paper’s endorsed him. Also nobody said Moulton’s a secret Trump ally on trans rights, he just threw trans kids under the bus when it was convenient and took a year to mutter a half assed apology.
Seth's response to an election result that was catastrophic for trans kids and their families was to say that it was all their fault for wanting to participate in activities with other kids.
Really not here for anyone (I see you Globe Editorial Board) downplaying the harm of Seth Moulton's comments about trans.
What he did was exactly what Trump does all the time: tell marginalized people that they are unwelcome and give license to bullies to target them.
“Cartoonishly unfair”? No one’s calling Moulton a Trump ally on trans rights. The criticism is that he echoed right-wing talking points about trans kids in sports at the exact moment Democrats needed to hold the line, and it took him over a year to give a scripted “apology.”
