The President’s use of 9/11 to attack @IlhanMN is dangerous and irresponsible, and part of a pattern of fanning the flames of hate against Muslims.
Using the emotions and tragedy of 9/11 to score political points is beneath the dignity of any president. At least it should be.
When a President lacks character, strong oversight is essential.
House Republicans seem to think as long as you can't prove a crime, all is fair in love and war, and what the Trump campaign did is all okay.
I don't feel that way. And I don't think most Americans feel that way.
Today, the House voted to end U.S. support for the war in Yemen.
We cannot continue to support a war that has caused untold suffering for Yemenis. A diplomatic solution is the only resolution to this humanitarian disaster, and I hope the vote today is a step towards peace.
Questions surrounding Barr are mounting:
He auditioned for the job with a memo attacking the obstruction case.
He then pronounced his own judgment on obstruction.
Now it is reported he may have substituted his own summary for Mueller’s.
The only antidote is full transparency.
The Attorney General’s repeated justifications for withholding grand jury material — instead of seeking court approval to release it — simply don’t add up.
We fought to ensure Mueller could finish his work. And we will fight to ensure Mueller’s report is not buried.
This is the HEARTLESS reality of TROPHY 'HUNTING'!
Chilling footage shows father and son slaughtering hibernating black bear and screaming cubs in Alaska!

Thank you to the @HumaneSociety for your STERLING work! 👏🏻👏🏻
After two years in which the GOP refused to provide any check on the executive, Congress is now performing badly needed oversight. We will do whatever is necessary to protect the public from conflicts of interest.
The law is clear. IRS must comply with @RepRichardNeal’s letter.
If the President does not understand that NATO is the most successful security alliance in history, Congress does, and we won't abandon our democratic allies or our treaty commitments.
Proud to escort NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg into the House chamber today.
Trump in 2016: Repeal and replace!
Trump in 2018: Repeal and…maybe replace?
Trump in 2019: Repeal now, re-elect, then replace with a secret health care plan we have yet to develop.
And in the meantime —
— don’t get sick.
I say this to the President, and his defenders in Congress:
You may think it’s okay how Trump and his associates interacted with Russians during the campaign.
I don’t.
I think it’s immoral. I think it’s unethical. I think it’s unpatriotic. And yes, I think it’s corrupt.
AG Barr must not give President Trump, his lawyers, or his staff any ‘sneak preview’ of Special Counsel Mueller's findings or evidence.
The White House must not be allowed to interfere in decisions about what parts of those findings or evidence are made public. #ReleaseTheReport
I know we can't agree to much as a nation these days, but I hope we can agree that the public has a right to see the full Mueller report no matter what it shows.
A symptom of our whacked-out times: the nonstop talk about a report nobody has read yet.
Chill, everybody.
We’ll know what’s in it soon. Then we can discuss what it means and what to do next.

Mueller could have filed his report months ago, with less evidence. He could have taken another several months and had more evidence. Question is why he chose now. Likely answer: he finally felt he had enough evidence to take Trump down, didn’t want to leave him in power longer.
Mueller’s investigation began as a counterintelligence inquiry into whether individuals associated with the Trump campaign were compromised by a foreign power.
By law, that evidence he uncovered must be shared with our Committee.
And his report must also be made public. Now.
