Today marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The Armenian Genocide, spanning from 1915 to 1923, was a systematic campaign of extermination carried out by the Ottoman Empire, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians. It remains one of the darkest chapters in Armenian and world history.

The Armenian genocide will forever be one of the darkest chapters in human history. 1.5 million Armenian people were murdered in these senseless atrocities, systematically planned and carried out by the Ottoman Empire. On the 110th Anniversary Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, we honour those who lost their lives, and reflect on their stories so they are never forgotten.
Wow! @DAcemogluMIT, born in Istanbul to Armenian parents, shares the @NobelPrize in Economics. Congratulations Daron! So happy for the nation of Armenia 🇦🇲 to have some good news to celebrate.
Oral history: recorded my dad for an hour as he recounted our family history—from his parents’ experience during the Armenian genocide to how he met my mom. Happy 97th birthday, Dad!

Armenia finds itself at a historic crossroad after the Artsakh war. For many, it's difficult to hold on to hope. Yet they do. Often that hope can be found in the energy and fortitude of the new generation.
