A bit different to Chippenham just 65 species in my little nature reserve (VC29), but a few species not caught at Chippenham despite the green corridor between them

An excellent night at Chippenham Fen (VC29) with @BeachHutBirder over 170 species with loads of the Fenland specialities and some unexpected Breckland species - Obscure wainscot was new for me, top night.

Over 80 species in the garden trap this morning (VC29) highlight was a very nice four spotted

55 species in my reserve (VC29) this morning many more escaped or swam away in the torrential rain that soaked the traps

Finally on my third attempt caught a Silurian in the Black Mountains (VC42 ) just the one, and it was the last moth from the last trap but very welcome. With @dartfordtrapper

Despite a windy night 51 species in the garden trap this morning including the first delicates of the year

Very tricky moth trapping conditions on the Isle of Wight (VC10) on Saturday night but a couple of battery traps produced 39 Species was ok considering. Nothing of real note but the Fern was nice

It was very windy on the Great Orme yesterday but @dartfordtrapper and I still managed to find Silver Studded Blues, Great Orme Cotoneaster, Feral Goats, Chough and Spotted Cat’s Ear.

Yesterday was excellent, A trip to North Wales with @dartfordtrapper great views of the Western Reef Heron, Woodchat shrike, Black Guillemots, Manx Shearwaters and plenty more birds

Plenty of day flying insects during some weather windows on the Isle of Wight at the weekend Glanville Fritillary, Common blue, Yellow banded Longhorn Moth, Hummingbird hawkmoth of note

Finally caught up with Boat bug on the Isle of Wight at the weekend, and despite the rather tricky weather conditions there were plenty of other shieldbugs as well - Crucifer, Ornate, Hairy, Green and Dock bug.
