@Beervana Although not a stout, I believe Well’s (England) Banana Bread beer was available in the 1990s. Maybe that’s the godfather? Foothills (NC) had an imperial stout called Sexual Chocolate no later than 2009. Samuel Adams even had a chocolate Bock around that time.
