"The sniper who shot my friend Jihan's 3 year old daughter Noor, shattering her tiny legs while she was in her mother's arms in Gaza, is a hateful, racist ghoul -- I understand that's one of the things I've been criticized for saying. And I double up on it, frankly. But the rage, the disgust even hatred that Jihan or I feel toward that sniper is not racism. It is not anti-Jewishness. It is not anti semitism. Nor are her feelings toward the tank operator who blew out the back of her son Arhab's head, making her fingers sink into his brains when she tried to pick him up. Our feelings or words in response to 78 years of this barbaric, colonial violence are not 'reprehensible.' They are not antisemitic. And they are not anti Jewish. In fact, despite everything they have done to us -- despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Jews both inside & outside of Israel support this zionist carnage & domination -- we still have the tender human sense to recognize those Jews, however a minority they may be, who do not support Israel. And to embrace the far smaller minority who are anti zionist, in fact."

BREAKING: ISRAELI AIRCRAFTS ARE CURRENTLY OPENING FIRE ON THOUSANDS OF PALESTINIANS GATHERED AT THE NETZARIM NEAR NUSEIRAT CORRIDORS WHERE THEY HAD COME FOR HUMANITARIAN AID
There aren’t words strong enough to describe the cowardice and depravity of a “military” that will methodically execute medical workers, bury them in mass graves, and tell the NYT the vehicles were “advancing suspiciously” without lights on. These soldiers and their superiors are utterly depraved and a threat to all humanity.
Before hiding the bodies in a mass grave, they forgot to grab the cell phone of one of the medics who recorded his own assassination for the world to see — if it cares.
As the “soldiers” are nearing their vehicle, and the medic knows they will murder him, you can hear him saying: “Forgive us, everyone. Oh God, accept me as a martyr and accept my repentance. Oh mother, forgive me, this is the path I have chosen to help people.”
grabbed off the street by plain clothes agents thrown into an unmarked car and disappeared with no charges simply for criticizing a foreign government. Textbook fascism.
This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.

Israel & Hamas signed >6 ceasefire agreements in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2019 & 2021. Each case followed a similar trajectory. Hamas, by & large, observed the agreement. Israel, by & large, did not. Here's a survey of these 6 agreements: https://t.co/N0DXl8BFXE
The most recent Hamas-Israel ceasefire deal went into effect on January 19, 2025. Since then, Israeli officials have now confirmed two things:
1) Israel has been violating the ceasefire deal. https://t.co/pdopuiwmML
2) hamas has not been violating the ceasefire deal. https://t.co/CKKPH3ygKo
If only there were warning signs.
Israeli forces just raided two of the three locations of the iconic Educational Bookshop in Jerusalem, confiscating books and arresting Mahmoud and Ahmed Muna — part of the second and third generation of a legendary bookselling family.

Freed Palestinian prisoner Shadi Barghouti in an interview:
"No matter what we say, it will never be enough. We are deeply ashamed that our freedom came at such a heavy price. All the prisoners carry the responsibility of ensuring we live up to the task—freedom came at a price that was not small. The responsibility upon us is heavy, heavy, heavy. Gaza is destroyed but its people were steadfast and sacrificed and this is the path to freedom and liberation! For the freedom of Palestine, the price will be heavy.
The prisoners have very high morale, they are steadfast, do not worry about them. They are lions, lions, lions despite the targeting, the hunger, the pain.
We lived inside graves. We lost all sense of time, food was scarce, and the torture was like Nazi prisons, the same actions the Germans did in Nazi prisons. But we were steadfast.
God willing we will walk this path and stand a stand of pride and victory thanks to the embrace and support of our people for us!
We were threatened not to give any interviews, my father was threatened with arrest, and so were all the prisoners, but we can't but thank all of our people in Gaza, it is not possible to do otherwise.”
"We have been driving for the last 10 minutes and I havn't seen a single building standing"

After 49 years in prison, Native American activist Leonard Peltier, 80, is granted clemency allowing him to go home. This comes after a decades-long international campaign for his freedom.
Over 120 tribal leaders put pressure on Biden to grant clemency to Peltier as one of his final acts in office. Peltier was the longest-held political prisoner in the country.
