What a bizarre article
Public sector pensions disappear on death and cannot be bequests to kids, so the effective tax rate (if you insist on doing like this)…
…is 100%

Thanks to the hundreds of Armed Forces personnel raising money for the Royal British Legion on London Poppy Day.
It was great to join them - and the Band of the @GrenadierGds - to meet commuters and collect donations this morning at London Paddington.
📢 More poppies in the city centre in preparation for remembrance!
You can see the poppies outside the Council House.
A selection of these poppies were kindly donated by students at Laira Green Primary School, knitting clubs, council staff, and members of the public.
🎉 Mark your calendars! On Thursday, musicians will take to our new performance area in Old Town Square. Hosted by Plymouth City Centre Company, it’s sure to be a toe-tapping treat! 🎶

🚨I’ve written to @BorisJohnson demanding an apology to Plymouth for his broken promises over Derriford Hospital.
👉 Despite repeated promises, the money was never there. He misled my community and has broken trust in our politicians.

More than £95,000 has been spent on attack ads to date, & politicians including Rees-Mogg and ReformUK leader Nigel Farage have shared them. (Restore Trust) denies being an astroturf group- these rely on hidden donors, but declined to reveal who funds it. https://t.co/vAj8RaOArf
We’re really pleased that our scheme has been included as one of England's first-ever heat network zones.
The hard work starts now!

They will be keeping a watchful eye over the new auditoria space!

📢 It was easy to 'per-swede' Councillor Mark Lowry to get a sneak peek behind the new Aldi - the first major store to open in our new district centre at Derriford.
He got a sense of the eco-friendly features that have been part of the build.
FYI - the swede is now in a pasty!
