@DHSCgovuk You should honestly start promoting @nonetorun more. It's much more realistic and achievable to reach 5K goals for complete novices or coach potatos. It includes free core strength building exercises for each day of the week and helped me immensly compared to Couch to 5K.
She started running at 82. She'd never run before.
She tried Couch to 5K β too aggressive. Found a gentler program. Finished all 12 weeks. No repeated weeks. No injuries.
She kept it a secret the entire time.
Her story π§΅
"Once you get to about 70, there's this chatter about getting old and life coming to an end."
"But I'm just feeling so much younger. I'm 82. You'd never guess."
She can do push-ups now, too.
The Japanese created a walking method proven to:β¨β Improve fitness by 20%β¨β Reduce depression by 50%β¨β Lower blood pressure significantly
Itβs called Interval Walking: 3 min slow, 3 min fast.β¨Now a free plan in the @nonetorun app β Stroll and Stride π
Been trying to improve my running and find a way to force myself to be consistent
If you can relate, I highly recommend this app called "None to Run"
U choose your program and it basically makes running feel like a video game. When you complete a run you unlock the next level
Someone sent me this: a program that gets people from 0 to 25 mins of running. π
I'd bet so many people would enjoy running if they had the right entry point, instead of thinking they "hate it" (I thought I did too)
More programs like this!
