@webdevMason Bad idea: it’s still too lethal to use when your life is not in danger, but not powerful enough when your life is in danger. Pepper spray will likely serve you better in most situations.
@eevblog It’s all in how the ICE behaved and where they were deployed. Traditionally, you didn’t see ICE unless you were at a border or were near a very specific raid.
@YandereEito This is why almost all gun ranges require you to either bring a buddy or demonstrate that you already own a gun before they will rent you one. I think their insurance policies actually require it.
Also, if your gun is pointed anywhere it spent be, expect intervention!
Translucent UI is usually a bad idea outside of movies and non-critical game interfaces.
The early moments of joy are fleeting, while the usability issues remain. Windows and Mac have both been down this road before, but I guess a new generation of designers needs to learn the lessons anew. Sigh.
@enggirlfriend Please be aware that the recent Audis have serious engine oil consumption issues that will lead to catastrophic engine failure unless you to top up regularly
Bad take: due process is identifying the person as a burglar. The equivalent here is if the burglar was actually a housemate: you don’t kick them out until you establish that they’re stealing.
The idea of granting the same due process to illegal aliens as American citizens before deportation is nonsensical.
It's like catching a burglar in action but not removing him from your house until he gets a hearing.
The biggest LIE that "vibe coding" community sold to beginners is
that ANYONE can build a production ready app for mass consumption.
It is simply not true (for multiple logical reasons).
Prototype - sure.
MVP for "invite only testers" - definitely.
An app you can show to investors to secure funding - absolutely.
But if you ship that shit to prod without understanding what the code does....
What do you think is going to happen?
Don't believe the hype. LEARN TO CODE, then you can use AI to help you do it faster, anon.
@GergelyOrosz It’s just simply so much easier to acquire users when the web platform is good enough. Mobile optimizes for retention at the expense of growth.
