After mine was cancelled, I spent most of yesterday trying to find a new flight from Boston to Bozeman. @delta was not available by phone or crashing app nor provided a new itinerary. They didn’t offer a hotel so I booked an Amtrak to sleep at my home DC. After 7 hours on the train, 3 calls to @Delta totalling 8.5 hours on hold, I never reached a rep. At around 11pm I got a new itinerary for 2 days later. After trying multiple times to change that itinerary to depart DC, I gave for the night. In the morning, still unable to adjust the itinerary, I found and booked a new itinerary for purchase (at over $1k more than original). Hoping @delta would honor the promise to adjust flights as needed given the cancellation disaster, I tried calling again…. I waited 2.5 hours on hold to be told that @delta would not allow me to leave from DCA but that I could go back to Boston! Or JFK or LGA or even PHL!! But no, not WAS airports. I need to leave in less than 8 hours and have been on hold for 2+ hours now w hopes for a switch to my DCA itinerary. @delta stand by your promises.
