the sad reality of crypto is it has consolidated in the ends of the spectrum

either you are building for tradfi & enterprise with
- payments (regulated)
- RWAs (regulated)
- earn (regulated)

or you're insanely degen + work on trading:
- amms, rfqs for spot
- perps
- prediction markets

there's really no middle anymore, and there's certainly no more room for intellectual, research-driven pursuits.

scaling is more-or-less solved, privacy is not a real customer demand, and all the big infrastructure projects from last cycle either at deaths door or rest-and-vesting

this was the 'adoption' that we were all hoping for, and now that it's here, everyone has packed up and moved onto more exciting pastures like AI
