@waxwellmilson I personally always carry spares and tools for myself… on occasion I’ve stopped and helped others on their way … if this was more standard I think this would be an answer… it’s a cycle community as far as I am concerned

@GiveMeSpace3 I’ve got a Cdf which is great but it kills my arms on proper off road fully loaded with tent and bags on … so I have now also got a giant mtb with half decent from suspension, I feel that it’s much better for off road backpacking 👍

Average car occupancy is about 1.5 persons per vehicle. Most car journeys involve carrying only the driver and rarely anyone or anything else. Cars are used for the majority of journeys 2km and under. Seriously why do we bother so much with cars?

The Chiswick Onesies don't want this. They want the road to be packed with SUVs and it to be a hostile environment for people because they want to drive absolutely everywhere even when there's a perfectly good A-road running parallel.

@PauloCampbell Was so close psssed yesterday morning at 7 am by h28 in twickenham road I could feel my jacket be pulled …. No one around and it’s two lanes so was totally deliberate… I don’t wear a camera … scary stuff

@TfL Submitted details as requested… I would imagine nothing will come of it … scary thing is why do this to another person when’s no one else is around ? Deliberate action or just incompetent driving , either way it’s frightening and unacceptable

Close passed by h28 bus at 7am twickenham rd …. Went to stop and ask driver why … he shouts at me “ how much room do you want “@TfL was in the painted lane with no where to go ( pavement only ) … this kind of attitude and behaviour is dangerous #cyclinglife

Some unfortunate person needed to borrow my bike last night. I locked it to a railing near the Shelbourne on Stephens Green. I don’t think it’s sellable - it kinda sticks out. So, maybe the Twitter could help me find it / get it back 🤞 @RanelaghLife please forward 😄

@sexandtheswiss The key to this is a good reason … just purchased my 7th bike , problem for me is uneven numbers ( not keen ) so it’s get ridof one 😱😱 or get another 😂😂

@cyclingjudy Yes … you have to get used to the distortion… after a couple of weeks of adaption everything will feel normal again … try moving your head to look at things directly and looking through the bottom of the lens to read … stick with it 👍

@migiallli Gotta say am a fan of #cycling in any form and making it accessible for as many as poss …. But these hire bikes being left all over the place just adds to the general loathing of cycling I think 🤔

So, here's a thought..... The average school run distance is 1.6 miles, currently only 2% of primary aged children ride to school & 60% of all car journeys are under 5 miles.
Why don't we build safe cycling infra on main roads for 1 mile in at least 2 directions around schools..
