@LoftusSteve Maybe helpful to do the maths for those saying we should install more storage - a family of four uses 600 litres per day = 30 cubic metres over 50 days. That's a tank 2m deep by 3m wide by 5m long and then you have the associated pumps and disinfection equipment. That'll work?

@LoftusSteve A long time ago I took routine samples for river water quality. These were always from a bridge irrespective of distance from the upstream pollution source being monitored. I expect these monitoring stations had handy parking for the technician collecting data.
