So, you may or may not know, but I am quite fond of the Silmarillion, so much so I have been fiddling with translating it into Rusyn. Just picture it, me sitting with the English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish translations…

Nasal geminates may be more conducive to maintaining continuous contact than affricate geminates and the ease of maintaining voicing from the preceding to the following vowel.
