@PippaCrerar@colinmccredie How about “Stop the Energy company profiteering”? Or “Stop the corruption”. Maybe even “ Stop the insidious drift towards Fascism”? Admittedly none of them are as catchy as “Stop the Boats” but probably a lot more useful to the UK electorate.
@GibbRona@PathsforAll Congratulations Rona. You’ve done a power of good work in the last 20 years. You and the Paths for All team have made Scotland a healthier, happier place. Many thanks to all of you
Just watching C4 news. Thousands of English school kids watching the game from Qatar today learned a valuable lesson - principles matter - unless of course they have consequences. In which case you drop them. FIFA is corrupt. Don’t watch the games
@euanmcilwraith Knock down the few 60’s/ 70’s monstrosities that blight Union Street and rebuild them using local granite and traditional skills. It would reinstate the finest granite street scape in Europe. Then create lots of “shallow” smaller shops out of the abandoned giant shops.
@euanmcilwraith One of the real joys of using a proper Scottish neep is the way it wrinkles and decays over time, gathering “character” so that it looks scarier and scarier. Personally I’m quite enjoying the experience….
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing, time after time, and expecting a different result. The selection process of the Conservative Party gave us Johnson and Truss. No more. Give people what they really want - a General Election. Let the people decide.
I’m not going to pretend I don’t swear, I do, sometimes a lot, but watching British politics on the news at the moment is not doing my language any good at all.
Rocketing inflation, spiralling energy costs, people having to choose between heating or eating, unprecedented political chaos and this is the time when Labour leader Keir Starmer decides to crack a weak gag at PMQ’s. Is the man completely incapable of rage or righteous anger?
