@jamesjgill In order to facilitate working async and not losing context within channels we use threads for any topics with our team.
The top level message in the channel is always succinct and in bold; its the equivalent of a subject line in an email.
@jamesjgill We then use the thread of that message to discuss anything.
And once the topic is complete (e.g the question was answered) we use a green tick emoji on the original message to make sure people don't have to go trawling through the thread of messages to see what needs discussing.
