Lucas and his friends from Marden Bridge Middle School are aiming to run 1,000 miles this April in memory of their friend James Black who collapsed in school at football club in October 2025 and passed away a week later in the Freeman hospital.

Lucas has raised over £5000 since his uncle died in the hope that a cure can be found and that other families won’t have to experience the loss that his has had to suffer.
