Savannah was celebrating New Year's Eve with her mother. It was a bittersweet night their first New Year without her father, who had passed away recently.
Savannah counted down, “One... two... three!", and tried to pop a party favor. But just as she struggled with it, something strange happened.
On the shelf behind her sat a snow globeher father's snow globe. That was designated to be her father. Out of nowhere, it suddenly began to play music. The soft, mechanical notes of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" filled the room.
The problem? The snow globe was broken. Savannah had twisted it many times before, and it never worked.
The fact that it started playing on its own left Savannah and her mother frozen.
And the most chilling part? That snow globe had belonged to her late father. It was as if, in that moment, he was there with them, celebrating one last New Year.
