Lord Jesus,
Thank You for this day that You declared the Sabbath, a day of rest & recuperation.
Thank You for the many blessings I do not deserve, for protecting me while I slept & this fresh slate in the form of a new day.
Lord, forgive my sins, debts, & trespasses, as I forgive those who have less than pure intentions toward me.
I pray I am understood, because oftentimes I communicate in ways most consider abrasive.
I know I'm rough around the edges, but you know my heart, Lord.
I mean well, & try to help all who need it, even when things are almost too much to bear in my own life.
Help those who feel betrayed by others' deception.
Sometimes people put their trust in the selfish, and they feel like they should blame themselves...
Lord, we know this isn't true.
I pray they keep their heart soft & open to future possibilities.
Lord, a majority of us suffer in silence, & it takes all we have left to maintain a smile.
I pray You lay Your hands on us, relieve pain & lighten the load to help us through the day.
Align this day of the Sabbath with Your divine will.
Guide us on this path You have laid for us; keep our feet grounded so that we stay focused on what truly matters.
I rebuke the devil & all who tempt us into sinful acts today, in the name of Jesus.
Lord, keep us anchored through the chaos of the storm, & lead us to calm waters.
You are my shelter.
I am Your son, just trying to live by Your Living Word.
