@JulianJohnJr@wincolumnCGY I think they've only got like 18 mil available, which would be nice if someone gets cap desperate and wants to unload a big contract. But I guess 2 mil per year wouldn't be too big of a difference.
@wincolumnCGY No, he just never did much to impress, even before he got hurt, I'm sure a full season away from the game hasn't been very helpful either.
@RingOfFireCGY Yeah, I can see your point, still seems a bit steep lol. But, if they skip on Viggo at 6, and this would mean getting him at 8, I'll get fully on board.
Can you get close to Chicago's 4th with this package though? ๐ค
@RingOfFireCGY Still seems steep, you could probably get a really good young player for that package, someone McTavish like, instead of what is still sorta a maybe ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@RingOfFireCGY If Maata plays anywhere near how he played after coming to Calgary, wouldn't be completely crazy he'd bring a 1st at tdl, Frost was a first, so potentially 3 1st, 1 2nd and a third. Seems steep, no?
@miketgould I'm hoping he'll be no higher, and no lower, than 6 oa, would love for him to be a Flame, and I think Backs as a mentor for a year or two would be great for him.
@RingOfFireCGY He's been getting, seemingly exponentially, better and better all year, I'm hoping he'll play his way to 6th overall, no higher, no lower ๐
@flamesfever@Sportsnet960 No doubt, and same on Djurgรฅrden in the SHL. The fact that he was elevated to first line center in what's probably the 3rd best league in the world at what, 17 at the time?
Also, the vid of him "man-handling" Klapka is amazing lol
@RingOfFireCGY Viggo will play for Sweden's mens team in the last prep tourney before the Worlds, hopefully he can make the team for the main tournament, think he might be able to increase his stock if he does. So far, 2 goals in 3 games for Tre Kronor, not bad.
