WHISTLEBLOWER EXPOSES TOXIC CHEMICAL WASTE DUMPED ACROSS LONDON UNDERGROUND

Micky Steeds is a former professional boxer from Aveley in Essex. He started cleaning vents and lift shafts on the London Underground in 2018. Some days the dust was so thick he could not see his own hands. At Tottenham Court Road his team stirred up so much dust the fire alarms went off. Nobody in charge seemed to worry about that.

The dust was not just dirt. It had asbestos in it. Also chromium, arsenic and other nasty stuff. For 15 months he had no proper mask, just paper ones that turned black after one shift. He was not even trained on how to handle asbestos safely until he had already been scrubbing asbestos covered cables for 19 months. Training came after the damage was already done at London Underground @TfL.

Steeds also noticed the hazardous waste was being thrown in with normal rubbish instead of being disposed of safely. He told his manager. His reward was simple. Drop the complaints or lose his job. He was signed off work with anxiety in 2023. Then he got fired anyway.

A tribunal has now ruled this was whistleblowing and that the sacking was unfair. Judges said London Underground could not even prove it was following the rules on hazardous waste, and that this could lead to criminal charges. TfL is appealing the decision.

His solicitor Michael Ballantyne says this shows how whistleblowers get treated. Steeds, a man who has taken punches for a living, says winning this case means more to him than any of his boxing wins. He also says he will not ride the Tube anymore. Draw your own conclusions.

That is how censorship works today … the process is the punishment, to frighten millions into silence.

On the latest episode of the FSU Podcast, Director of Policy and Research @DavidRoseUK sits down with investigative journalist Paul Holden.

They discuss the Starmer Government’s decision to press ahead with a social media ban for under-16s. Paul argues that the mechanism used to implement such a ban will be to treat everyone as a child until they provide some form of information proving they are not.

He says people will be forced to hand over personal information to the very social media platforms the Government claims cannot be trusted. There is no way to implement such a system without sacrificing online privacy.

Paul warns that this would damage investigative journalism and could effectively introduce digital ID by the back door.

And yes, the WEF promotes “food-system transformation” and nutrition interventions. WEF material has positively references flour fortification with iron, folic acid and vitamin A and talks about reshaping food systems for health, resilience and sustainability.

Does that sound like democracy to you? or does that sound like global decision making?

When the state changes the composition of everyday food consumed by millions of people, that should be done through a full Act of Parliament, with proper debate, scrutiny and accountability. It hasn't been 🚨
