Today we remember Captain Robert Laurence Nairac GC, a Grenadier Guards officer murdered by IRA terrorists on 15 May 1977. 🌹🇬🇧
He was just 29 years old.
Captain Nairac was serving his fourth tour in Northern Ireland as a Military Intelligence liaison officer during one of the darkest periods of the Troubles. Those who served with him remembered an officer who never asked others to do what he wouldn't do himself. He volunteered for difficult assignments and repeatedly put himself in harm's way alongside the soldiers he supported.
On the night of 14 May 1977, while carrying out an undercover operation in South Armagh, he was abducted outside a pub by IRA terrorists.
He was tortured and murdered.
His body has never been found.
Nearly 50 years later, his family still have no grave to visit. No place to lay flowers. No final resting place. No answers.
Captain Nairac was posthumously awarded the George Cross, one of the United Kingdom's highest awards for gallantry, in recognition of his extraordinary courage.
But before the medal, he was simply a young officer who chose to serve his country, knowing the risks that came with it.
A Grenadier Guard.
An intelligence officer.
A son.
A friend.
A comrade.
A man who never came home.
Gone, but never forgotten.

Just how long ago was No 10 in Manchester organised? Some interesting information has emerged. Public always the last to find out, yet we are the ones paying. #labour#manchester#government
The Curious Case of the Barrister, the Bomb, the Museum and MI5
This story raises more questions the deeper you look.
A 25 year old trainee barrister spends two years in war-torn Syria, comes home, then is allegedly caught transporting a Semtex car bomb complete with a detonator and timer.
We’re told she didn’t know what she was carrying.
She gets bail.
We’re also told MI5 and Special Branch knew about the alleged bomb plot for two months. If that’s true, why was a live device allowed to be collected in Phoenix Park and transported up the N2 through public roads before the car was finally stopped at a petrol station in Carrickmacross?
Then there’s the second arrest.
Simon O’Donovan appears before Ireland’s three-judge, non-jury Special Criminal Court and is refused bail. Prosecutors allege explosives were stored at Collins Barracks……a government-owned museum where he worked.
So which is it?
Was this such a serious national security threat that it required the Special Criminal Court or was is something worthy of granting bail?
The official line is that the intended target was a police officer in Derry.
Maybe it was.
But given the current political tensions, the growing split within republicanism and the fact that intelligence agencies reportedly knew about the operation well in advance, it’s understandable that people are asking whether the public is being told the full story.
Questioning an official narrative isn’t extremism. It’s what people do when the facts presented raise more questions than they answer.
🚨 WHY did Manchester City Council approve a lease for the exact Heron House suite now used as No.10 North on 10th June 2026?
Andy Burnham wasn’t even an MP until the Makerfield by-election on 18th June.
He didn’t become Prime Minister until 20th July.
So why was the temporary headquarters for “No.10 North” being signed off weeks before he was even elected to Parliament?
How does a serving Mayor “know” he’s about to win a by-election, get parachuted into the leadership, and be crowned PM within weeks — unless the entire sequence was already locked in?
If you’re not asking these questions, you’re choosing not to see it:
The by-election was engineered.
The MPs who voted him in were already aligned.
The system was primed and ready.
Burnham wasn’t elected into No.10. He was placed.

The Burnham coup was planned for a year
Number 10 North was ready and waiting
Makerfield was set up to facilitate it
Labour MPs welcomed it
Msm normalise it
Plotters were rewarded with top ministerial posts and salaries
There is nothing democratic about this Labour government

Deeply saddened to hear that Gerry Kelly died this morning. There was always a huge buzz around Havelock House on a Friday when The Kelly Show was on air. People will miss his cheerful countenance. But to us, his colleagues, he was family. We are all family right now!!!
Anyone wishing to contextualise the @ni_wrn situation with Féile would do well to read this quote from Gerry Adams with fresh eyes.
“The point is to actually break these bastards – that’s the point. And what’s going to break them is equality. That’s what’s going to break them: equality… That’s what we need to keep the focus on; that’s the Trojan horse of the entire republican strategy.”
𝗦𝗔𝗗 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Gerry Kelly has sadly passed away. Gerry who grew up in the Thomas Street area of Ballymena will be fondly remembered by many who personally knew him and by all who were entertained in his roles with UTV in years past.
Our thoughts are with Gerry’s family and friends at this sad time.
“We are very excited about continuing this tradition that our crew and our families love.”
Portrush’s much-loved RNLI Raft Race is back this May, with entries now open and a full programme of family fun set to be announced.

Sinn Fein Pat Sheehan voted in favour of the motion to suspend Timothy Gaston on Monday 2 February 2026.
Pat Sheehan told UUP leader Jon Burrows to "shut up" on GMU the next day. You really couldn’t make it up. Standards clearly depend on who’s speaking according to some. 🤷♀️
@Reciprocity5904@PaulaJaneB And here is today's Hansard. Gaston is claiming that after he apologised on the day he said "breathe", this was accepted. Bradshaw three months later then complained about it to the Assembly Commissioner. Why the delay? And why did @brendanhughes64 only cover one issue of report?
No Surrender Timothy Gaston 🇬🇧
He should wear his suspension as a badge of honour.
The Commissioner, the pan-Republican front & most of all the drama Queens (both male and female) in the Alliance party have turned themselves into a laughing stock.
