I AM ASKING FOR ATTENTION TO MY CASE
I am Tami Loehrs, a widow who moved to Rwanda in 2023 with my husband's memory and $2,000,000USD to personally invest. I created Silverbacks Coffee, Silverback's Cafe and Silverback's Villas for the purpose of protecting the gorillas, giving back to communities in need and support education and sports. I purchased land, constructed buildings, bought from locals, created jobs, donated to schools and libraries and fed communities.
From the beginning, my business partner lied, embezzled hundreds of thousands of USD, kept land i purchased and stole my identity. The next person I trusted stole hundreds of thousands, ended my coffee company and forced me to close the Cafe. All together, I have lost over $500,000USD to fraud and theft at the hands of numerous Rwandans. In spite of paying over $50,000 to 6 different lawyers who took my money without providing services, threatened me, harassed me and forced me into agreements that benefited the criminals, and filing my cases with @RIB_Rw multiple times with stacks of evidence, I was ignored over and over again. To date, @RwandaDevBoard & land authorities have left me in limbo for 3 years with land I purchased still in the names of those who committed crimes against me. Even RRA misappropriated my tax money to pay for the taxes of those who stole from me with no resolution.
After three years of absolute horrific treatment, I am broken both emotionally and financially as the criminals live without consequence. All of the businesses I created that were meant to earn millions for this community are no longer in operation. It is time for me to get the justice I deserve.
Rwanda claims to champion women's economic empowerment. Rwanda's Constitution guarantees gender equality. But if a widow with $2M personally invested in this community with over $500k in documented loss by liars and thieves can be ignored by police, lawyers, and government agencies — what does that promise mean to every Rwandan mother? Every daughter? Every widow?
Who protects a woman when the systems meant to protect her fall silent?
Please help me get justice.

@africans816671 Why can’t the media actually report the reality of what’s happening. It’s ridiculous how the DRC won’t take responsibility for their ongoing part in not protecting their people.
@bourbonkigali just had a terrible experience at Kigali airport. They brought our order with many items missing and they said they didn’t bring them because we rushed them, yet we had waited over an hour for this order before asking where it was. They refused to apologise.
@RwandaAirports just had a terrible experience at bourbon coffee inside kigali airport. They served us meals with many missing items over an hour late and told us they didn’t serve us the items that come with the meal because they felt rushed. They refused to apologize.
Returning to Musanze from Kigali last night and we were passed by several International Buses who were driving dangerously on the road. If something isn’t done there will be more deaths !@Rwandapolice
When hard times have you questioning whether God is with you, remember this truth that he is with you wherever you go. Through setbacks, disappointment, unmet expectations, grief, loss, and heartbreak he is still with you, and you can lean on him to help you keep going.
Someone needs to know that it doesn’t get easier to let go of what you love in order to lay a hold of what God has for you in the next season. We often think that paying the price is a once and done thing, when it’s actually a daily thing. It’s not always easy to say yes to Jesus when those you love are saying no, or not yet. It’s difficult to move on from something that brings you great satisfaction, joy, comfort and security, to follow Jesus into the unknown. The challenge is to remain obedient to the call of God when it feels like the initial short term cost far outweighs the benefits. If you look around and compare your journey with someone else’s, you’ll likely get frustrated. If you compare your cost with someone else’s, you’ll likely become resentful. You have to fix your eyes on Jesus. You have to decide he alone is worthy. You have to say yes and not second guess yourself. You can’t get to where he’s taking you if you don’t go
How has God intervened in your story? In my story, he took a young angry man that was so lost and transformed him from the inside out. Praise be to God!
“I am Yahweh
who sanctifies you,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt
to be your God:
I am Yahweh.” Leviticus 22:32–33
The great goal of God’s deliverance, from Egypt and from sin, is that he might have a people who treasure him as their God above all things.
