I wonder if picking up three months taxpayer-funded severance payment for getting sacked from a job you did for a few weeks and then getting the job back six days later is the kind of thing a Tory government might want to crack down upon. What a shower of absolute charlatans
@JustinWelby@trussliz I genuinely find this tweet pretty offensive Justin.
Thanks for her service? It was pure craven ambition and demagoguery. Don’t think God will be very impressed with the pain and misery she’s caused millions of people in just 6 weeks.
And she’s not sorry. Just “went too fast”.
Thanks for lovely comments about our song & welcome new followers - excited you're along for the ride!
We're sorry to disappoint, but for all those asking, we won't be doing one on #Truss resignation. We did one on her already: https://t.co/fw3F3AbYkJ. She should've listened!🎤
I’m absolutely sick of endless talk about whether the Prime Minister has lost the confidence of her party. BOTH SHE AND HER PARTY HAVE LOST THE CONFIDENCE OF THE COUNTRY. A General Election is now the ONLY way forward. When will they understand that?
@BethRigby If stability in a volatile environment is so important to her, why did she take such a huge, uncosted, experimental gamble with her mini-budget? If stability mattered to her why did she prevent the OBR from reviewing it & refuse to show the figures. She needs to explain.
Chancellor says he’s willing to take decisions of “eye-watering difficulty” - euphemism for Austerity 2.0. Why are Tories so keen to take “difficult” decisions to cut public spending & hurt least well off, yet so averse to “difficult” decision to introduce wealth tax on richest?
A man wanting to jump off a bridge in London was talked down by strangers who held him for an hour until help arrived. Look at that grip. Look at the care, compassion, selflessness, and determination shown by strangers to a hurting human being.
We need more of this in the world.
Mind boggling how @trussliz is completely disowning everything caused by last 12 years of the government she’s been at the heart of - from low wages to poverty. Rewriting history #CPC22
It’s all there in Britannia Unchained, co-authored by Liz Truss and Kwarteng: the pound can collapse, borrowing and mortgages can soar, pensioners can freeze, kids can go hungry, as long as the economy is ripe for venture capitalists freed from regulation and, ideally, tax.
There is something obscene about Kwarteng holding a victory party with hedge fund managers the night after cutting their taxes and uncapping their multi-million pound bonuses
No @trussliz - this is not a global crisis. This is a crisis of *your* making.
Choices *you* made to make everyone else pay for tax cuts for the rich. It’s not a communications problem. It’s a problem of your own flawed dogma & incompetence. Own it #SundayWithLauraKuenssberg
This is a Tory crisis: made in Downing Street, paid for by working people.
Mortgages, pensions and family finances are not casino chips for a government intoxicated by dogma. https://t.co/AhxCCNcPsd
Government shouldn’t use public money to rescue its former prime minister from an investigation ordered by the House.
RT if you agree

@mariacaulfield But didn't you vote for this? I was planning a few days in Seaford next month but don't fancy it now that the beach and sea are out of bounds.
#EU members enjoy freedom to travel with few checks in & around Europe.
#Leave lied to voters saying #Brexit wouldn’t take away those rights. The dreadful situation at #Dover is a consequence of Brexit. Time for our media to report fairly & stop ducking the real issue.
