MaryAnn and I used to be cool. We communicated regularly, and I spent time on the phone with her when she was being targeted by one of Karmelo’s advocates. I gave her advice and shared all of the information I had on the people advocating for Karmelo.

Then came the Karmelo Anthony trial.

I was being threatened and harassed to the point that I had to beef up security. During the last few days of the trial, I told Enrique Tarrio, a good friend of mine, that I was genuinely worried about my safety. He was there THE NEXT DAY to make sure I felt safe.

When MaryAnn found out, she came up to me and whispered, “I can’t be affiliated with him.”

I said, “Okay? You’re not. Just because you’re friends with me doesn’t make you friends with him.”

Apparently, that answer wasn’t good enough. She stopped talking to me altogether and unfollowed me.

Now, she’s passing off a story based on documents as an “exclusive” when I released the FULL DOCUMENT a week ago.

When I challenged her on it, did she correct it? Nope. She blocked me. 😂

I said it before, and I’ll say it again: You don’t hate the MSM enough.

This is honestly so discouraging. I work really hard for pennies. Sometimes, I actually lose money doing this.

I requested this document first. I paid for this document. I obtained it and released it well before the Daily Mail published the same story and called it an “exclusive.” And now the New York Post is citing them as the source.

I went through HELL last year to bring you my reporting on the Karmelo case. I was targeted. I was swatted. I was falsely reported to CPS. A man went to PRISON for ten years after stalking me and my family because of his obsession with the case and his loyalty to Karmelo. I was pregnant through all of it.

Did the mainstream media ever cover what I went through? No. And I’m okay with that. I never expected them to.

But pretending independent journalists don’t even exist while taking the stories we worked to uncover is something entirely different.

I did the work. I made the request. I paid for the records. I obtained the document. I released it first. Then I watched a major outlet publish the same story as an “exclusive” - and when I pushed back and asked for credit, I was blocked.

Now another major outlet is pointing to them as the source.

That is what is so discouraging. It isn’t about wanting attention. It’s about basic journalistic ethics: credit the reporter who actually did the work.

The future belongs to thise who show up. The childless members of society won't transmit their values while those that have families will. It will correct itself over time, but on a multi-generational time scale.
Look to those cultures that have large families to see who will own the future.
