UBCO Downtown will be a vibrant hub of activity in the heart of the community. It will weave @UBCOkanagan's excellence in research and teaching into the fabric of Kelowna’s downtown core and add significantly to the stock of rental housing in the area https://t.co/t5MWePyOah

Phase one of our copper pilot ran for five weeks on two trolleybuses and two SkyTrain cars. More than 1,100 samples were collected and analyzed by the talented teams at @VCHhealthcare, @VGHFdn, UBC, and Westech Cleaning Audit Systems.
In the coming months, we will launch a second phase of the copper pilot on more buses and trains over a longer period of time to verify the results. The results could help us and other transit agencies inform decision-making for transit vehicle surfaces in the future.
