Innoflight Supports Critical Proximity Operations on Historic Artemis II Crewed Lunar Mission

Innoflight, a pioneer in cyber secure space avionics, announced that its Compact Flight Computer (CFC-400XS) supported the Artemis II mission’s 70-minute Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) demonstration. The demonstration was a key milestone in advancing human deep space exploration through the first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years.

The RPO maneuver was conducted between NASA’s Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System’s (SLS) Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS). During this operation, Orion executed a series of navigation exercises, including both manual and automated maneuvers, demonstrating precise control while operating near another spacecraft.

Innoflight is proud to announce the successful delivery of all units supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) Tranche 1 program, fulfilling commitments to all SDA prime contractors and Space Vehicle (SV) providers. SDA’s PWSA Tranche 1 is a secure and low-latency mesh network of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites designed to provide military tactical communication access and beyond-line-of-sight missile warning and tracking data to our warfighters. Innoflight has now sold 4,000+ cyber-secure space avionics units in total, demonstrating the growing demand for the company’s solutions.

Meet 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯, Lead Manufacturing Engineer at 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

Matt began his journey with Innoflight as an Electrical Engineer Intern in 2022, where he quickly discovered a passion for bringing new designs into production, ensuring they are not only innovative, but also reliable and scalable.

After joining full-time as a Manufacturing Engineer, Matt took the lead on New Product Introduction (NPI) for 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁’𝘀 widely adopted Compact Flight Computer CFC-400XS product line. Serving as the primary technical interface with our contract manufacturer, he played a critical role in successfully transitioning products from development to full-scale production.

Today, Matt leads a team dedicated to bridging Engineering and Operations, driving continuous improvement, and optimizing production efficiency. His leadership and commitment help ensure that Innoflight consistently delivers high-quality, reliable products to our customers.

We recently had the absolute joy of welcoming the Healing Tails Therapy Dogs for a two-hour visit filled with smiles, cuddles, and calm energy!

Our team loved spending time with Flounder, Yuki, and Amaya — three amazing pups trained through the Healing Tails program led by Katherine Lekas. The event brought comfort, laughter, and connection, reminding us how meaningful it can be to pause and recharge during a busy workday.

Meet Rudy Velasquez — a true leader whose journey from the U.S. Marines to aerospace has been defined by dedication, integrity, and excellence.

Rudy began his Marine Corps service in 1981 as an Airframe Mechanic, rising to Master Sergeant over 24 years of active duty with deployments across the U.S. and Japan. His passion for quality assurance started in uniform and has only grown since.

He joined Innoflight in 2022 as a Quality Specialist and quickly stepped into a leadership role. Today, Rudy serves as our Quality Manager, leading audits, end item data package reviews, and supporting business development and contracts.

Rudy’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and mentorship inspires our team. We’re proud to have him at Innoflight — thank you for your service and leadership, Rudy!
