🔍 Typically, diarylamidines block ion channels, but DiaaNaC behaves differently. Diminazene, pentamidine, and DAPI triggered substantial Na⁺ currents instead of inhibition. Mutagenesis revealed key residues near the pore and lateral portals influencing activation.
