@donkersgood@RaphaelManke A different (win-win) route, is to compensate for the effort, basically “buy” the awesome apps, improve it (if needed), publish it on the reinvent url, and plan a reinvent breakout session to share the learnings. That’s real community collaboration.
@donkersgood Had similar behaviour in CloudFormation when changing a hardcoded "value" to a !ref to a parameter with the same string "value" (it's a while ago, say may be solved or it wasn't !ref but some other function change).
@NIDeveloper@cdkday We once did a distributed + online ACD. We had 4 locations, all with live speakers and audience and a live stream. It was super cool, and went pretty smooth, not perfect. https://t.co/tk9a4u4E7p
@editingemily@QuinnyPig@nathenharvey@mattstratton We organized https://t.co/ULo3HJYwrF last year. Before we announced @Werner we didn't have that many registrations, CFPs and sponsors. I think 20% signed up before the announcement, 80% after. Our rule of thumb for events: 25% customers, 25% partners, 25% Amazon, 25% else.
In this blog post, I’ll describe how to use boundary policies in the following situation: we want to give our developers a lot of freedom in a development AWS account, but some things must be blocked and remain blocked for them. https://t.co/7CvL8TV7Io
@twannl@Apple@DisneyPlusNL Kids are < 6 years old... They know how to click on the app icon and find the movie to watch. (The iPad is "empty" except for some movie apps and some games)
Yesterday we announced the AWS re:Invent Community re:Cap in The Netherlands on January 18. We also opened the CFP for a great line-up of speakers, and I'm extremely happy to see the FIRST application is by a female. Want to speak too? https://t.co/uumqehLfSM
@donkersgood @kperreault95 @awsug We also got speakers who would withdrawn their talk if we didn’t have any female speakers. We already cancelled one meetup before it was announced. One almost got cancelled, but we found a colleague with a great talk just in time!
@jeffbarr “Af” is a common Dutch word. It means “work is done”. Apparently you were already done with the thing. It also means “lost a game” and “do not touch this!”.
Yesterday AWS organized the AWS Benelux Community Leaders Meetup at @SchubergPhilis. Almost all Benelux AWS Community Builders, APN Ambassadors and Heroes were present. We hope you had a great experience and enjoyed the talks and dinner. Thanks for organizing @soganmageshwar!
@donkersgood@Sarutule@theburningmonk@sheenbrisals@awsugnl I’m afraid we were too focussed on not planning sessions at the same time in the same room. Which would have been a great solution here though… 😉 Jokes aside, this is great feedback. Thanks!
