Anytime I have a student answer a question in class, I have them explain to me (and the class) how they got their answer! I feel that it helps prove they actually understand, rather than are just repeating a process they saw beforehand or guessing.
Reminders for Math Students
•Everyone can learn math at a high level.
•When you believe in yourself, your brain thinks differently.
•Mistakes grow your brain. Struggle is good for you!
•It isn’t important to be fast in math. It is important to think deeply and creatively.
