James Schoonover will take over the Lions’ program.

The former Mound City Panther and Missouri Western Griffon will be in his first season as a head coach.

The Green Hills Insurance LLC GRC West Team of the Week is the St. Joseph Christian Lions Football Team. The Lions defeated Bishop LeBlond 26-20 in the District Semifinals to advance to the District Championship against Plattsburg. It was their first ever win over Bishop LeBlond and first postseason win since 2017.
