@RepKenBuck 2. There is something inherent in how society and its institutions work that perpetuates this divide
Unless you believe it is 100% #1, you should support measures that actively help to correct it
If you believe it’s 100% #1, fuck you racist
@RepKenBuck The median income for Black households is $48,297, and $74,262 for white households — a difference 35%
There are two ways to see this:
1. There is something inherent in Black people that perpetuates this divide
@joecguinan I didn’t think it possible that I could, after a lifetime of supporting them, somehow, loathe feel such revulsion at @UKLabour@labourpress
Of course, ‘them’ is the word. These chartlatans have no connection to the history, the purpose, the values of Labour
Absolutely pathetic sophistry and political cowardice on a straightforward issue of financial extraction from basic infrastructure at growing cost to the people and the environment. There’s a reason every other advanced country has public water.
I’ve gone from, ‘he’s getting weird’, to, ‘I’m really not liking this policy direction but clearly better than Tories’, to ‘he’s inverting everything he said he believed,’ to ‘you awful man. I loathe that you make this decision necessary’, am now a ‘I simply CANNOT vote Labour’
OK, I’m starting to think that there’s an increasingly effective insurgency going on in Labour HQ, to make a mockery of starter. What the right did to Corbyn, only so much less dramatic and more effective.
What else explains these turgid posts?
There is a choice this May.
The choice to stick with the same old sticking plaster politics offered by the Tories, or to build a better Britain with Labour.
Vote Labour on Thursday 4 May.
@Keir_Starmer If you win an election it will be definitive proof that the country has lost of moral purpose and reason. Labour was supposed to be so much better than this
The corruption of the best is the worst
I’m done with this “Labour” party
I’ve never voted for anyone else, but
The attempts to frame their inane policies as remotely commensurate with the problems we face
The gross denial of anti-Black racism and apartheid
The endless lies
The weapons-grade hypocrisy
@nicolelampert @SukhSinghCrypto You’ve heard Homes Sectretaries claiming a hundred million or even billions are wanting to come to the UK? Surely you can see the danger in this language, and it’s NOTHING like we’ve seen before
@AdamCai50927313 @dhothersall @michaelwhite But that’s exactly the point - surrendering to the fear that you might be portrayed badly by the far-right Daily Mail and government is just that, an act of surrender in the face of amoral cruelty. Huge accounts like Lineker should make a stand
@chris_helm@michaelwhite You think “billions of people may come here” isn’t exactly the sort of insanely hyperbolic scare-mongering well known to oppressive regimes everywhere, Nazis included.
