Why are you trying to gaslight the public about the cost of offshore wind? Every credible source shows OSW as the most expensive way to make electricity in the world. In fact, the Revolution Wind power purchase agreement is a public document and it shows for a fact that the cost for intermittent electricity from Revolution Wind for Rhode Island will be $98.40 per megawatt hour which is 2 to 3 times the cost of reliable natural gas produced electricity.

@NoahMisha84242 @SecretaryBurgum This is false. There are no battery storage facilities associated with the cancelled projects. Wind turbines on average produce zero power 7 hours per day. Wind power has regular multi-day calm periods that 1-4 hour battery storage can not solve even if it were built

@SecretaryBurgum You are right. But it’s even worse than that. Not only are we paying 2x to 4x the cost for intermittent wind electricity, but we also need to pay for shadow conventional plants to run 24/7 in standby mode, burning 40% more due to inefficiencies caused by ramping up and down.
