@GR1ME @InlandCaGuy 24 without prologues or epilogues. Some only have 1 or 2 chapters. Many only have a few. Thus I dont count them as "main characters", they typically only existed to show events around them, eg Melisandre or Areo.

And the current convergence is legendary: great northern conspiracy, nightlamp, battle of fire, Dornish plot, Lovecraftian horrors coming to Oldtown

@sunsequel2 @PalmyrPar In a separate reply you said you never read them. So how can you say the story made x or y? And What events are you even talking about? Red wedding was foreshadowed clearly and is a pillar of the plot. Aegons landing is built up via blackfyres and is late in the series.
