In the Budget on October 6th, NAI is Calling for a Neurology Service for Tipperary University Hospital. The 2016 Model of Care for Neurology Services in Ireland, published a decade ago this year, stipulated that Model 3 hospitals including Tipperary University Hospital should have a dedicated neurology service.

@martinmodonnell Health service systems are hopelessly out of date,same with digitisation of patient records , vs gp surgery’s vast majority are computerised and paperless with patient management software , when I see paper notes used on wards I feel am propelled back into 20th or 19th century

The reality is that Beaumont is one of many hospitals with a similar issue, relying on systems that are worryingly out of date.

We *really* need to address this now - there is no way it isn't impacting care; we don't need a catastrophe to prove it...
