@elonmusk Before US citizens start commenting about election systems of others, take a look at your own. The US messed up their election systems in such a way that only two parties can exist and politicians can redraw election districts in such a way that it directly impacts the results.
Cat check: Alex Kay was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison having pleaded guilty to publishing material intended to stir up racial hatred. The post included the phrase "set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the bastards.β He had a previous conviction for theft:

Shakil Chowdhury was sentenced to 6 years in prison in 2007 for raping a 12 year old: https://t.co/YN82uJkDot
You don't need to spread lies to make points about this scandal. The survivor of the rape, Samantha Roberts (who waived her anonymity to campaign for justice for rape survivors), was undoubtedly failed by the system. The vast majority of people would agree that a sentence of just 6 years is an insufficient sentence, which is why sentencing guidelines were changed in 2014: https://t.co/zuN5eGqY2k
In the UK the majority of prisoners are released after serving half of their sentence. The law was changed in 2023 so this no longer applies to those convicted of the most serious of sexual offences: https://t.co/3NjUaiTlvd
@thierrybaudet Ja hoor, dat geloof ik echt. Al het mogelijke bewijs van het tegendeel weiger je te geven en als er om gevraagd wordt ga je dreigen met geweldβ¦ π€·
I realized I didn't really had any backups of most of my personal data. Emails, Photos and files are stored in the cloud, but if somehow my account is blocked, I don't have access to anything anymore...
@saurabhg Increasing secrecy? Isn't this something which is already happening for decades? Nobody knew how the iPhone would look like, like a lot of other big product announcements...
Since 2011 I keep a journal of what is going on in my life and since 2012 (or around that time) I started using @dayoneapp for this. In general it is really interesting to see what I did 10 years ago, and how I felt about things.
Looking back it almost feel exceptional that an app stays around for so long and doesn't get useless functions or somehow ruined in other ways. And recently the development seems to speed up with all kind of nice stuff. One thing I really like is the 2023 Reflection Challenge.
@saurabhg Where? π but it is not that Spotify is making tons of moneyβ¦ on a revenue of 3,3 bn they only make 65 million profit. It is not that they keep all the money or something like that.
