Look at my battery jokin' around. Smitty adjusting Ohtani's tight bicep and Ohtani adjusting his stiff neck 😂😂
(Low key Ohtani ain't pitching until his buddy Will Smith comes back)

“The Official Scorer shall always give the batter the benefit of the doubt. A safe course for the Official Scorer to follow is to score a hit when exceptionally good fielding of a ball fails to result in a putout.”
@ScoringChanges has well documented this play at this point.
As someone who played baseball their entire life, through college, I apologize deeply to everyone so upset that I misinterpreted the ruling of an earned run. I’ve gotten more “you didn’t play ball” more times than my entire 10 years on this app lol
Bledays ball was a hit, anyway, but that’s beside the point.
This has to be one of the most ridiculous score changes we’ve seen all year. Even if the first baseman makes the grab, the runner was clearly beating the throw.
You can’t charge an error on a fielder who has to charge in and make a bare-handed attempt especially when the runner only reaches safely on the play and doesn’t advance on the throw. No one’s going to appeal it, but this is a BS call!
The Jacob Misiorowski ERA conspiracies are silly, but this has to be ruled a hit. An unorthodox fielding play resulting in a very close play at the bag (with the throw being on line!) is never ruled an error.
@TJStats Exactly, and I ain't a Reds or a Brewers fan. Even if the ball wasn't dropped, Bleday would've been ruled safe because he beat out that fielding play. Bunt single was textbook. Never seen a scorer rule that an error before.
