A man currently dies every minute of the day by suicide.
It is a statistic which breaks my heart, especially as mental health is something so close to me.
My own battle remains ongoing. I take medication every day and attend regular counselling sessions.
I’m not ashamed or afraid to talk openly about it or that I have previously attempted to take my own life.
But I try to use my struggles positively by fundraising to help others and to stop them feeling so low.
My latest fundraiser takes place on Saturday June 28th and will see me playing five different racket sports for a total of 10 hours.
It is all for an absolutely incredible charity called the Mind of the Student who work wonders to help youngsters improve their mental health.
