There are some states that still have Friday and Saturday as weekends. In consideration of matters related to the people of Johor's wishes of spending more time with their families and children, and the positive economic impact being in line with the implementation of development projects that uplift the state of Johor, which in turn will bring benefits to the state and its rakyat.

With His Majesty King of Malaysia's consent and blessing, views of the Johor State Islamic Religious Council, the State Government, government agencies and the Rakyat, I made the decision for Johor to have Saturday and Sunday as weekends again.

If there are parties upset or dissatisfied due to personal agendas, want to provoke the Rakyat or have political interests, you are welcomed to move to states that still have Friday and Saturday as weekends.

Three years ago, I urged Malays to migrate, and if they can’t afford the usual places the elites go to, then migrate to Sarawak. Their vast land mass and rich natural resources, unique autonomous position in the Malaysian national framework and the quality of their leaders are the big pluses. The announcement of an open migration policy by Abang Jo recently is welcome news, although I am somewhat disappointed that a prospective migrant needs to invest 2 million to qualify for PR

Two million is a lot of money for many of us, and Sarawak is rich enough not to use this migration policy to enrich its coffers. Of course, the PM announced that Terengganu could be out of poverty in two weeks, but he said nothing about Kelantan. Maybe in four weeks. Still being out of poverty and having 2 million to spare is a long way

It would be in Sarawak's interest to attract as many migrants as possible. The current population is too low to drive Sarawak into overdrive. Quality people can bring value to Sarawak's economy, such as good teachers, builders, tailors, and restaurateurs, but they may not have 2 million

Therefore, the Sarawak Cabinet need to think again about the amount of money required to qualify as PR. Good-quality Malaysians will come in droves because they know Sarawak is the Malaysia they wish they had but is not to be.

Don’t break their heart. Let them come. Through hard work, they will give back to Sarawak more than two million, which they may not be able to find now. But Sarawak's future depends not just on money but people. Singapore, Finland, Dubai, and New York were all built by quality people
