Imposter syndrome isn’t a diagnosis, it’s a distortion.
At the @AmerGastroAssn Women in GI Workshop, @RhondaSouzaMD broke down the cycle:
→ Achievement
→ Feelings of inadequacy
→ Avoidance
→ Distorted feedback
→ Back again
The fix isn’t more proof of success. It’s awareness, reframing, and genuine self-recognition.
Her message:
•Reframe your beliefs
•Accept feedback as growth
•Acknowledge your strengths
•Interrupt the cycle
And remember: “The only deception going on is to oneself.”
How do you recognize and stop your own imposter loop?
