I have a story about how bad the healthcare system in Uganda is and how that should concern all of us because anyone can be a victim. It should probably be a video or storytime thing guys do but I'll make it a thread.
We're excited to have our Donor Relations Manager representing us @MaryHelda and honored by the invite. Do join this insightful conversation physically or virtually 🖥

Some people come into your life and leave footprints that never fade. @MaryHelda is one of those people.
Mary was one of the very first employees at @ZimbaWomen fresh out of university, full of fire, and deeply passionate about women’s empowerment. We had the honor of being her very first employer, and from day one, it was clear she didn’t just join a company: she embraced a mission. She breathed it, lived it, and carried so many of our programs and projects on her back with grace, excellence, and unwavering purpose.
Through her work at Zimba, Mary championed digital inclusion, gender advocacy, and social innovation. Her efforts not only shaped our organization but rippled out into the wider ecosystem. Her impact has been felt far and wide, from grassroots communities to international platforms. She has been recognized as a 25 Under 25 Awardee by the @internetsociety and won several accolades, both locally and abroad. She is a shining example of what brilliance, commitment, and a heart for community can achieve.
Now, Mary is heading to @Cambridge_Uni one of the world’s most prestigious institutions, to pursue a degree that will only amplify the impact she has already made. This opportunity is a launching pad, and it comes at a time when Uganda needs bold, thoughtful, and visionary leaders like her more than ever.
I could not be prouder of Mary. She is proof that when women are empowered, they become unstoppable forces of change. And now, she needs our support to take this next giant leap.

Thank you 🧡
The idea of an Endo Fund for women to access resources for multiple surgeries is on my mind, but as I figure out how to do that, please come through for my friend Sheila.
This is her second major surgery needed by July 14th.
You loved her in this episode. Support her now🙏🏽

About a month ago, I sat down with our mental health provider at Fundi Bots.
We were beginning 2025 after a very complex end to 2024 and my mind was churning with pretty significant decisions I needed to make.

[notes]
Our Fundi Bots mental health support was championed by @MaryHelda and generously supported by the Imago Dei Fund as part of their larger support for our education work in Ugandan schools and communities.
