I’ve failed many times in my life and career and because of this I’ve learned a lot. Instead of feeling defeated countless times, I’ve used it as fuel to drive me to work harder. So today, join me in accepting our failures. Let’s use them to motivate us to work even harder.
You are greater than your circumstances. More courageous than your fears. The struggle is real but you are strong. Life is tough but you are tougher. You are a child of God and you are loved. Remember this today and everyday.
One issue that must be navigated carefully is using the rest/recovery as a crutch or excuse. There’s a difference between having a proper plan with built-in recovery and just waking up one morning and taking a “rest day” because you don’t feel like working.
Took me a long time to learn this, but it’s absolutely true. There is definitely a place/need for the “grind” mentality, but just as important is learning the balance between pushing it to a breaking point and allowing for proper recovery. MUCH easier said than done.
Great leaders.....
-Small ego, big mission.
-We before me.
-A lot of love and accountability.
-A lot of grace and truth.
-Demanding but not demeaning.
-Loving but not enabling.
-Shout praise. Whisper criticism.
-High standards, low tolerance for excuses.
