I’m 16 and just finished building an app to stop endless scrolling.
A few months ago, I realized how much time I was losing on short-form content… so I built a solution.
Meet YScroll.

Your initial instinct is to block africa twitter, but i've grown to enjoy the content coming out of that continent. It is very much like peering through the window of a pre-modern mindset but with access to technology. It's a real contribution

Today, I choose to speak about Barbie through the truth of who she has always been.
I remember her standing in a room full of women here a few years ago, not as a victim, but as a keynote speaker.
Calm. Composed. Grounded. She spoke with the kind of clarity that comes from lived conviction, not borrowed courage.
She carried herself like a woman who knows exactly who she is and why she is here.
The day before we met to discuss the program. Her first question was she had asked to look at the program.
Her first question was “Sarah, how can I best serve the women here?”
While I thought my response was vague, once she held that mic, she spoke from the heart. She delivered beyond our expectations.
Barbie is an author. A mother. A builder of futures. She runs a charity that cares for girls. Girls whose lives could have easily slipped through the cracks of neglect, poverty, or silence, but didn’t, because she chose to intervene with love and structure. She has dedicated her life to the quiet, demanding work of nurturing dignity where the world has failed to do so.
This is the woman I know and have grown to admire.
A woman who understands that leadership does not always shout.
That strength does not always raise its fist.
She is a story in her own right. One that has long been written in service, intellect, and grace.
Those who try to humiliate women in public hope to reduce them to moments of fear.
But Barbie’s life cannot be collapsed into an image, a raid, or an act of intimidation orchestrated by a drunk with a weapon. That image shows how threatened of her they are.
Her legacy lives elsewhere. In classrooms, in books, in the lives of girls who now dare to imagine more.
History is always kinder to those who build.
So today, I refuse to echo the ugliness meant to silence us.
I shall speak of her greatness
I choose to amplify beauty.
I choose to honour a woman whose courage is steady, whose resistance is rooted, and whose work continues, regardless of intimidation.
To the women out there, let this remind us that our voices do not need permission. We shall continue to use them and choose how we use them.
To the girls she serves: may you always know you are protected by a legacy of love.
And to Barbie: your dignity speaks louder than any attempt to strip it away.
