The Terengganu government has proposed a two-year closure of four snorkelling and diving sites around Pulau Redang after more than 80% of their coral reefs were damaged.

The affected sites are Pasir Akar, Pulau Lima, Pulau Paku Besar and Pulau Ekor Tebu, with the damage linked to climate change and human activities, including tourists stepping on corals and boats anchoring on reefs.

The state government has banned open burning, stressing that stern action will be taken against offenders.

🚨 BREAKING : The King has consented to an emergency declaration for Serian, Sarawak, following hazardous air pollution, which surpassed an API reading of 521.

The PMO said more effective measures will be taken to protect the health and welfare of affected residents, including mitigation measures.

A haze emergency was declared in Kuching in 1997 after the API reached 650.

This is seriously scary. CCTV footage from Gyirong Port in Tibet, China, directly opposite Nepal’s Rasuwa district. This flash flood hit here first and later caused massive havoc in Nepal. Can’t even imagine someone surviving this. Prayers for everyone affected. 🙏
