Well at least after talking to @BestBuy I can say that them screwing me out of $4,600 was just them "following policy." Glad you reached out guys. Your level of service just makes my experiences with @Newegg, @amazon and @microcenter look even better.

@BestBuy didn't do the refund of the protection plan staring from 3 weeks ago, even though they've had the defective unit for the last 3 weeks. So I paid for a protection plan for them to have the laptop for 3 weeks while it was in for a warranty repair.

Gotta love when you spend over $4,000 at @BestBuy, + the protection plan, and then when they can't fix your laptop less than 2 months later bc parts are backordered, and don't have any new models in stock, you can't get your money back to buy another one somewhere that has it.

So basically a @BestBuy protection plan provided the "protection" of having even more money tied up in gift cards for a store that can't fix or replace my laptop. I feel so much safer.

I think the best part about @BestBuy is that when refunding me for my laptop which was under warranty (1 month old), with store credit, not money I can use to get the laptop somewhere that it's in stock, they gave a partial refund of the protection plan...from today!!
