The lack of ability to analyze evidence, data, facts, etc and draw your own conclusions without influence from other potential bias is by far one of the biggest pitfalls of humankind in the current era
I wish tech-incompetent representatives would stop writing legislation about tech. The EARN IT act is a thinly-veiled attack on industry-standard best practices for data security, and attempts to weaken and ban widely used technology that keeps your data safe online. Thread.
@pboozzee@RiseUP_11@_faurote_ This is a reasonable conjecture, I could settle for both being equally good. Determine a true winner would require far too much work on ranking and weighting various types of humor
@RiseUP_11 No way, futurama has way more hidden content, just gotta over-analyze it
Literally just paused futurama on a shot of bender’s apartment room number, which is in binary, and it’s the ASCII equivalent of “$”
That’s gold
The objectivity of the 4th point is what’s concerning to me. How is a degree of “risk to others” ascertained? I’m all for the intended idea of this, but I certainly don’t trust the judgment/intentions of ALL those determining the arbitrary “risk to others” level
Virginia's "extreme" new gun laws that all those armed extremists are protesting?
-Background checks.
-Limit on # of handgun purchases per month.
-Communities can ban guns from specific events/venues.
-Police can take guns from those deemed a risk to others.
That's it.
